Flavia Wines
Flavia Rebellious Wines is a young reality but with a great history behind it. Flavia and Giacomo Rallo, whose family has been the custodian of a deeply rooted tradition in Sicilian viticulture for over 160 years, have found the ideal territories to express their most creative and free, rebellious vein. Among the most iconic expressions are labels that express the marine freshness of the Marsala area and those heroic ones that speak of Etna, where viticulture is a daily challenge: dizzying slopes, volcanic soils, and unpredictable climate give rise to intense, sincere bottles, born from the toil and hand of man.
For Flavia Wines, the work in the vineyard is strictly manual: mechanical work is banned to encourage the rediscovery of ancient gestures, from short pruning to the training of the typical Etna bush vine. The grapes, hand-selected and with rigor, are transported in wooden crates, and are exclusively native varieties cultivated according to organic regulations. The production philosophy aims to maximize the sustainability of operations: no fertilizers and pesticides, the soil is periodically enriched with organic matter, no forcing so that only the natural rhythms of the vine are followed. From the coast to the slopes of Etna, these bottles want to tell the biodiversity of Sicily.
In the glass, Flavia's wines stand out for elegance and identity. The wines of Etna, based on Carricante or Nerello, have great mineral intensity, with smoky and sea notes. The wines from the Marsala area want to fully express the fruit and salinity, with fresh grapes vinified in steel and maturation only in glass, for straightforward and direct wines. Each bottle is a microcosm of Sicily: wind, salt, fire, and sweat merge in a sip both ancestral and contemporary.
