Louis Chenu

The Louis Chenu winery is located in the heart of Burgundy, more precisely in the municipality of Savigny-lès-Beaune, in the prestigious Côte de Beaune. Founded in 1914 by Louis Chenu, the company is now managed by the fourth and fifth generations of the family, represented by the namesake grandson Louis Chenu along with his wife and daughters, Juliette and Caroline. This family tradition, passed down with passion and dedication for over a century, has solidified the winery's reputation as one of the benchmarks of the Burgundian wine scene. Savigny-lès-Beaune has always been one of the most refined appellations of Burgundy and stands out for the quality and elegance of its wines. In this context, the Louis Chenu winery has become a spokesperson for a strong and authentic territorial identity, faithful to its origins and the excellence of production that has always characterized this region.

The agricultural activity of the winery is rooted in a craft approach that respects Burgundian tradition. The vineyards extend exclusively within the territory of Savigny-lès-Beaune, from which all the wines of the winery originate. The soils, typical of the Côte de Beaune, give the wines a refined structure and a well-recognizable mineral character. The agronomic management follows the natural rhythms of the seasons: pruning, soil cultivation, green harvesting, and treatments are carried out manually and directly by the family. Even in the winery, traditional techniques are maintained: spontaneous fermentations, reduced use of filtration, and long aging in barrel, with a process that enhances the expressiveness of the grape variety. This care is reflected in a constant quality production that is deeply connected to the land from which it originates.

The Louis Chenu winery, therefore, stands out not only for the quality of its wines but also for the family-oriented and authentic approach that accompanies every aspect of the work. In addition to a rigorous attention to the vineyard and winemaking, the winery is committed to enhancing the territory of Savigny-lès-Beaune through a limited but representative production of its potential. The labels range between reds and whites, with a prevalence of Premier Cru, and testify to a deep knowledge of the individual climats of the area. The presence of old vines and the careful use of
