The Roero Arneis signed by Marchesi di Barolo is a white wine characterized by typical fresh and fragrant aromas. The taste experienced during tasting is refreshing, characterized by a delicately mineral flavor. We are undoubtedly faced with a label with a young profile, which performs at its best at this moment in its evolution, allowing us, by uncorking it now, to savor the full integrity of the olfactory bouquet. It is also worth noting the price, particularly encouraging.

This Marchesi di Barolo Roero Arneis is made from the homonymous grapes, cultivated on trellises using the guyot system in various plots owned by the winery. Specifically, the plots are located on the steep hills of Roero, where the soils are predominantly calcareous-siliceous, rich in quartz sands and fine clays, mixed with thin layers of sandstone. On these soils, Arneis finds the ideal conditions to express itself at its best, reaching the harvest phase with perfectly ripe grapes. The must ferments at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks temperature-controlled. The wine is then transferred to steel or vitrified cement tanks, where it remains to age for a few months on the lees.

The Roero Arneis Marchesi di Barolo appears visually characterized by a straw-yellow color, not too deep or concentrated. The combination of aromas that envelops the nose is crisp, where fruity notes mainly alternate in an orderly fashion, enriched by more floral touches and puffs that highlight a more mineral finish. On the palate, it is young, with a slim and drinkable body, from which a particularly satisfying refreshing vein emerges. To pair it while staying within the regional boundaries of Piemonte, there is nothing better than serving it with a succulent vitello tonnato.
