El Capri Bianco de Scala Fenicia es un vino blanco procedente de la Isla de Capri, compuesto por una mezcla de uvas Greco, Falanghina y Biancolella. Se presenta de color amarillo pajizo delicado y luminoso y desprende en nariz notas de fruta fresca como manzanas, ciruelas amarillas y duraznos blancos con intensos recuerdos de flores de genista y salinidad. En boca es elegante y de amplia sapidez, refrescante y de excelente fragancia aromática.
The Capri Bianco from Scala Fenicia comes from the splendid Island of Capri, made from a skillful blend of native Campanian varieties, always cultivated on the small islands of the Phlegraean archipelago: Greco, Falanghina, and Biancolella. It is a sunny, Mediterranean, and marine white, a pure expression of the magical atmospheres of this pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea. In the Campanian islands, the vine arrived during the time of the first settlements of Greek colonists and has since always been part of the culture and tradition of the territory, which the Scala Fenicia winery has managed to renew in the name of elegance and excellence.
The Capri Bianco wine from the Scala Fenicia winery is born from the desire to recover and give new splendor to the ancient tradition of Capri wine. The deep connection with history is visible from the choice to create the winery within the spaces of an ancient Roman cistern. The vineyards are cultivated on the northern slope of the island and cover a total area of 4000 square meters divided into 4 small terraced plots on the northeast slope of Mount Solaro, at an altitude of about 100 meters above sea level. The vines are still trained according to the ancient pergola method and the manual harvest takes place in the first half of October. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, lasting about 10-12 days. The wine rests for several months in steel tanks and is bottled in the spring following the harvest.
The Capri Bianco from the small artisanal winery Scala Fenicia is a true excellence of the territory: a label to discover to taste the authentic atmospheres of the island. The color is pale and bright straw yellow. The bouquet recalls scents of orange blossom, Mediterranean scrub herbs, citrus aromas, peach, white-fleshed fruit, and iodine notes.
