The Pinot Bianco branded Hofstätter is a pure expression of this mountain grape variety in the name of elegance, harmony, and balance. The Hofstätter estate is among the oldest and largest in Alto Adige. It extends over an area of about 50 hectares, in the territories east and west of the Bassa Atesina. This privileged condition allows Martin Foradori to cultivate each variety in the area most suited and vocated for climate, altitude, and soil composition. This is the case of Pinot Bianco, the noble Burgundy grape introduced in Alto Adige during the 1800s, which has now established itself as one of the most elegant expressions of the territory. The Hofstätter label comes from vineyards cultivated on light soils, composed of calcareous-clay marls, which provide a perfect natural habitat for this delicate variety.
The entire production process for making Pinot Bianco is focused on maximum respect for the delicacy and finesse typical of this grape. After the manual harvesting phase, the best bunches are taken to the winery to proceed with soft pressing and fermentation at controlled temperature. The wine matures only in steel and cement, to preserve its fruity freshness and expressive purity intact, without any interference from wood.
The Pinot Bianco from Hofstätter presents itself in the glass with a beautiful straw yellow, intense and bright. The olfactory profile is characterized by the grape's proverbial refinement, with delicate notes of white fruit and slight floral aromas. On the palate, it surprises with the velvety harmony of the sip, which combines fruity aromas with just the right freshness, pleasant and never excessive. A label that makes purity its winning card. At the table, it finds the best pairings with vegetable-based first courses or with delicate fish dishes.
