Collina dei Ciliegi

La Collina dei Ciliegi was born in Erbin, a small village in Valpantena nestled on the hills north of Verona, where the landscape alternates between high vineyards, cherry trees, meadows, and woods that rise towards the Parco dei Monti Lessini. The company develops around a simple yet ambitious idea: to live and produce in harmony with nature, combining vision, sensitivity, and determination. In 2017, Massimo Gianolli and Christian Roger met Lydia and Claude Bourguignon, among the world's leading soil experts, and embarked on a study and enhancement of the highest altitudes of Valpantena, with the aim of transforming them into true crus.

The productive heart of La Collina dei Ciliegi is located at about 700 meters above sea level, among the highest vineyards in the entire Valpantena. Here, the ripening of the grapes is delayed by up to a month compared to the valley floor, thanks to significant temperature fluctuations and constant air currents. Each parcel has been mapped and studied through core sampling and in-depth analysis of the calcareous-clay soils, to adapt planting density, varieties, and exposures to the characteristics of the soil. Viticulture is precision-based, high-density, with low yields and an agronomic approach that prioritizes soil vitality. Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, but also Garganega, Pinot Bianco, and Chardonnay find here a unique expressive context for Valpantena.

In the glass, the wines of La Collina dei Ciliegi deliver a vertical and luminous interpretation of the territory, where freshness, tension, and aromatic depth coexist in balance. The whites surprise with clarity, mineral precision, and acidic drive, while the reds combine tannic finesse and juiciness, never sacrificing a strong territorial imprint. They are high-altitude wines, sculpted by air and light, that interpret Valpantena with contemporary elegance and strong identity.
