After a phase of ecclesiastical dominance in the Middle Ages, the viticulture of Savoie passed into the hands of the nobility and bourgeoisie, before being taken up by the peasant plains in the 19th century. The Domaine des Ardoisières was founded in 1997 thanks to the meeting between Denis Perroux and the vigneron Michel Grisard, and has developed over the years with the aim of enhancing the mountainous territory, becoming today an example of biodynamic viticulture in this alpine area. The unique terroir of Cevins and Saint-Pierre-de-Soucy is at the center of production, which stands out for the quality and purity of its wines, reflecting the identity of these lands.
