Giulio & Gaia Vinyataires
Giulio & Gaia Vinyataires was born from the meeting of Italian roots and a Catalan soul, in the heart of the Penedès wine region. Giulio and Gaia chose to settle in this land to create a personal project guided by their love for wine and for Catalonia. Theirs is a small independent estate that cultivates its own vineyards and highlights native varieties such as Garnatxa, Sumoll, and Macabeu, alongside international grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Merlot. It is a life project even before being a winery, born from a deep connection with the land.
In the vineyards, Giulio & Gaia apply regenerative agriculture methods and minimal intervention practices, with the aim of preserving soil fertility and maintaining the balance of the ecosystem. They work without synthetic chemicals, avoiding herbicides, pesticides, and artificial fertilizers in order to protect the vitality of both soil and plants. Every agronomic decision encourages biodiversity, stimulates microbial life in the soil, and respects natural cycles without invasive practices. Vineyard work is light and targeted, designed to keep the soil alive and well-structured, while controlled yields allow for healthy and concentrated grapes—an authentic expression of the territory.
In the cellar, Giulio & Gaia follow the same philosophy, using low-intervention winemaking to faithfully express the identity of each vintage and vineyard parcel in the glass. Production intentionally remains limited to ensure control, precision, and authenticity. A distinctive element of the estate is their passion for Italian singer-songwriters, which forms an integral part of the winery’s narrative. Many labels take their names from famous songs, turning each bottle into both a musical tribute and a wine story. The wines express the richness of Penedès, combining Mediterranean freshness, energy, and character. The result is a distinctive range that faithfully reflects the Catalan landscape.
